Quanzhou Wanda - Starbucks Reserve
This was the first Reserve store in the city of Quanzhou located in Fujian, China. A dark walnut palette was selected to represent the premium vibe for this location. It was important to celebrate the city and Starbucks so two unique art pieces were created for this store. The first a siren tail mural hand drawn by a skilled Chinese artist incorporates an aesthetic reminiscent of both the artist and regional art. The patterns are intricate and rich providing a powerful moment upon entry. The second art moment is an abstract map of Quanzhou created using 25 hand-crafted tiles made from cut Starbucks Reserve cards. Each tile was handmade by designers from our Seattle based design team and then hand carried back to China for assembly.
